Organization: County of Simcoe Transit - LINX PLUS+ Accessible Transit

Description of Services: Specialized transit service for people unable to use conventional public transit due to a physical disability or functional disability * buses are equipped with fully accessible features

Service will commence along Routes 2 (Wasaga Beach to Barrie), 3 (Orillia to Barrie), 4 (Wasaga Beach to Collingwood), 5 (Alliston to Bradford Go Station), 6 ( Midland to Orillia)
  • operates along Route 1-6 corridor including towns of Penetanguishene, Midland, Elmvale, Village of Midhurst and City of Barrie
  • pre-arranged door-to-door public service and/or service to and from conventional transit (LINX) for registered users
  • available on an unconditional (permanent), temporary or conditional basis, depending on the registered user's eligibility
  • registered clients may use the service for medical appointments, school, shopping, visiting family or friends and social outings within the defined transit service area

Fees: Set Fee * same fare structure as Conventional LINX Transit Service * $2 to $6 depending on zone traveled to * exact cash fare or reloadable LINX card required

Application: Complete online application form and mail or hand deliver, or call for information * part of application form must be completed by licensed health care professional
