Description of Services: Crisis Beds are a residential service in Barrie, with 6 short-term beds available to accommodate those who are experiencing a mental health, psychosocial or addiction related crisis

Services available:
  • 24hr staff support
  • non-medical services
  • respite
  • medication support
  • crisis prevention and stabilization
  • safety planning
  • coping strategies 
  • service navigation and coordination of ongoing support needs
  • referrals to community services as required
  • police and emergency services can access beds 24/7

Eligibility - Population(s) Served: Youth and Adults experiencing mental health, addiction, or psychosocial crisis * must be medically stable and not intoxicated
Application: Telephone risk screening required to determine eligibility prior to mobile assessment for a bed
